5 for Friday (February 28th)

This week has gone pretty quickly, but that is simply because I have been that busy!
I am the Academic Team coach and we have our Governor's Cup this weekend. Tuesday was our Future Problem Solvers/Written Composition competition. And tomorrow is our Quick Recall tournament/Written Assessment (multiple choice) competition.
I will post all about that in the next Five for Friday.

So... here are five great things that I enjoyed this week!

[ONE]
First and foremost, I need to celebrate and thank my twenty donors who helped fund my Donors Choose project! I ask for two iPad minis and my last two projects never got fully funded, so I didn't have full confidence in this one.
But, here they are!!! And they are so pretty!

Getting these in the mail on Tuesday was enough to complete my entire month of February!
I am headed to Best Buy this weekend to buy some cases for these and then I'll download some games and apps for my kiddos! If you know of any amazing apps, please do share!

[TWO]
I am DONE with winter. We are supposed to get another winter storm on Sunday night.
In order to make myself feel somewhat hopeful, I went ahead and printed and laminated my Spring and St. Patrick's Day centers.

And I'm not kidding, I did feel more hopeful that warm weather would be on its way!

Ten games cut and sorted into my centers bin for the week!
We already started them on Monday. I am not wasting any time.

.

I pulled from my St. Patty's Centers set and my Springtime Centers set.

[THREE]
I presented at EdCamp this weekend!
My team teacher (Party in Primary) and I were simply planning on attending the EdCamp, but when we saw that the last session only had two things signed up, we felt like we had enough expertise to add to the sessions!
We presenting on how to use Google Docs for Collaborative Planning.

[FOUR]
I have a new obsession! Mr. Sketch markers. I have been a Scentos girl for a while, but now I can't find them anymore when I go teacher shopping. So I decided to buy a set of Mr. Sketch. And I don't think I can ever go back.
Here is a look at how it makes anchor charts so much more fun!
And these are just two anchor charts from the week!

[FIVE]
Only 15(ish) hours left for the big TPT sale!
Visit my store for 28% my items!

I am linking up with Doodle Bugs Teaching for 5 for Friday.

  2. Congrats on having your project funded! I love Donors Choose! A great app my students love is Teach Me: First Grade. You do have to pay but it is well worth the $3!
