It's summer time! I can't believe that my kids are gone. :-(
I still have a week of meetings and PD, but my kiddos left yesterday.
Instead of being sad, let's look back on 5 GREAT things that happened this week.
I gave some really awesome candy bar awards.
I'll start by saying that I gave out quite a few awards to my students this year because I loved them so much and just wanted to spoil them as much as I could. One of the award sets was a candy bar awards.
Here is my 31 bag full of goodies ready to give out!
I gave away other awards, such as 4th Quarter awards, End of the Year awards, and Sight Word Awards.
I got crafty with my kids.
This week, I was daring. I took a few chances and allowed my students to truly enjoy their last week of school. We tie-dyed shirts and made paper mache. It was exhausting for me, but I loved watching the kids get that excited over art.
This is my old kindergarten assistant helping me out. She has the RTI position now and they were finished with testing and documentation, so she asked to help in my room and I told her tie-dye day was a perfect day!
I got an amazing award.
This year, our admin had a fun morale booster yesterday after school. They gave out hilarious and serious awards for the staff. I was awarded with the Dewey Decimal Award for being most organized. :-) And hey... if I wasn't organized, I'd have nothing to blog about.
I packed up my room.
How sad to see everything in my bright and beautiful classroom shoved into one corner, but I can't complain. We have to do this so that our janitors can wax our floors and keep our school looking beautiful!
Can't wait until August to get in here and unpack so that I can redecorate. :-)
I discovered a dangerously amazing addiction.
Ms. Erica Bohrer from Erica Bohrer's First Grade has me seriously addicted to an online shopping website similar to Groupon. I'm sure you've heard of it, but if you haven't.... I'm sorry for your wallet. Check it out and be careful! Don't say I didn't warn you!
